Background and challenges

Inaugurated in June 2022, this underground car park is part of the Allées de Neuilly project, which aims to redevelop the ten hectares of green, pedestrian-friendly public spaces between Porte Maillot and La Défense.

450-space infrastructure under the main avenue

The construction of this new car park, designed without load-bearing pillars and located under the busy Avenue Charles de Gaulle in Neuilly, posed a number of challenges. Its construction had to take into account a number of constraints:

  • The rerouting and maintenance of 7 out of 8 traffic lanes on the RN13,
  • The presence of networks on the plot,
  • The desire to limit deformations on neighbouring infrastructures (Eole tunnel under the infrastructure, metro line 1 tunnel, ovoid along the infrastructure, etc.),
  • Traffic flow and parking on side-alleys,
  • Maintaining a pedestrian crossing in the middle of the site.

The car park was also equipped with a Cyclopark for bicycle parking, and 50 charging points for electric vehicles.
