Indigo is expanding in Qatar through its subsidiary QDVP (Qatari Diar VINCI Park), with the signature of two new contracts: the Lusail Marina and Doha Hotel Park car parks. Together they boast a capacity of almost 5,000 new parking spaces. These contracts were won thanks to close cooperation between the builder, QDVC (Qatari Diar Vinci Construction) and the operator, QDVP.
The four car parks in Lusail
Lusail, a new town on the North-eastern coast of Qatar, is being built for the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Once the urban development and facilities have been completed, the town should have the capacity to host a population of 200,000 over an area of 35 sq m.
While residents are beginning to move into the first tower blocks in the city, Lusail now has four luxury Marina car parks, boasting a total capacity of 2,200 new parking spaces.
The builder QDVC (a subsidiary of VINCI Constructions Grands Projets) was originally able to anticipate the needs related to the operation of the luxury parking area in Lusail through a technical audit. Tailor-made solutions were submitted to optimise parking flow, such as the “park assist” system for locating your vehicle to within a parking space or the 3D supervision system.
QDVP has been appointed by Lusail Real Estate Development to manage both operations and maintenance of the car parks. The first of the four Marina parks opened its doors on 15 November 2015.

Hotel Park
Not far from the prestigious Sheraton hotel, in the West-Bay district of Doha, QDVC is completing the construction of a high-status complex comprising gardens and restaurants on ground level, and a four-storey, 2,852-place underground car park.
The structure, to be called “Hotel Park”, shall ultimately be handed over to Katara Hospitality, a major player in Qatar’s policy of investing in luxury hotels, and which already owns references such as the Savoy in London and Lausanne, the Royal Monceau in Paris and Raffles in Singapore.
After acting as a consultant for the operation’s property developer, QDVP was picked out by Katara Hospitality to operate and maintain the car park and service the payment facilities. General maintenance, excluding operating equipment, has been awarded to Mosanada (a subsidiary of Katara Hospitality). The park is expected to open to the public in December 2015.
