Acting for the environment

As a parking and urban mobility operator, the Group is investing in the transformation of its infrastructures and the evolution of its services, to offer more sustainable mobility solutions for both local authorities and end-users.

Decarbonization strategy and optimizing the energy efficiency of infrastructures

The INDIGO Group has been calculating its carbon footprint since 2018 and has been implementing a number of measures to reduce energy consumption in its car parks for several years:

  • The installation of low-energy lighting (LED) in the car parks we operate, to achieve a coverage rate close to 100%,
  • The installation of systems to regulate lighting levels according to the presence of people, so that car parks are only fully lit when sensors detect the passage of a vehicle or pedestrian,
  • The introduction of real-time monitoring tools for electricity consumption in the Group’s most energy-hungry car parks.

The INDIGO Group also favors natural lighting and passive ventilation, where the architectural concept allows, in order to limit the use of energy-intensive equipment.

To reinforce its commitment, INDIGO is currently carrying out an in-depth study on the possibility of a decarbonization trajectory, defining quantified objectives and an action plan as early as 2025.

Design and operation

In the face of climate change, INDIGO is committed to limiting the environmental impact of the design, construction, renovation and operation of its infrastructure.

Sustainable mobility

The INDIGO group is convinced that the evolution of its business model must respond to the challenges and expectations linked to changes in mobility as part of the ecological and energy transition, particularly on the part of users and cities.

To this end, it has introduced a number of measures to support its customers’ transition to low-carbon mobility:

  • Deployment of secure bicycle parking solutions (Cyclopark),
  • Development of self-service bicycle hire with Smovengo, the operator of Vélib’ in Paris, wholly acquired, on December 30, 2024,
  • Rental solutions for electric and mechanical bicycles,
  • Massive installation of electric vehicle charging stations.

Responsible employer

At INDIGO, the health, safety and well-being of our employees are our top priority. As a responsible employer, we are committed to promoting diversity and gender equality, while ensuring quality of life in the workplace.
