New Paris-Saclay Hospital car park

Background and challenges

Located in the heart of the Saclay plateau, the new hospital of the Groupement Hospitalier Nord Essonne, opened in June 2024, is situated in a sparsely populated area with poor public transport links. INDIGO combined expertise and technology to provide a seamless parking experience for employees and visitors to the new hospital.

The proposed solution

INDIGO’s brief was to design a parking solution that would guarantee smooth access at all times for employees, and maximum proximity to services for patients and visitors, thanks in particular to the underground car park located beneath the hospital.

To meet this challenge, we equipped two levels of the underground car park and designed a four-level silo car park reserved exclusively for employees. Modern and perfectly integrated into its surroundings, this infrastructure, designed as a mixed metal-concrete structure, combines functionality and aesthetics.

Particular attention was paid to flow management to avoid crossings at peak times. The design favors horizontal architecture, encouraging visual circulation and highlighting the surrounding landscape. The floors were designed to offer a welcoming, comfortable and bright environment, with unobstructed views of the exterior. The infrastructure was completed in eight months, featuring a photovoltaic canopy on the roof.

Flow optimization, high-performance access control with license plate recognition, digital interfaces for parking management, multiple payment options, additional services (carpooling zone, electric charging stations), 24/7 assistance… We have combined the best of people and technology to design, operate, maintain and service this new car park.
